Sylphia "Syl" Selsyn, known commonly over the net as Sync the chaser. Labelled as project number Si14 when under Etrian control, and was later transferred to the Etrius Computer Division for further experimentation under project number Se34b1.
Syl lives by herself somewhere in the Understreets of Etrius City, where she's stockpiled tonnes of computer equipment. She doesn't seem to have an actual job outside of chasing (the Etrian equivalent to a hacker), but is able to procure a lot of the latest technology for her 'lair'. She lived temporarily with Full Circle at ClubSquaredCube but quickly became annoyed with them, finding she works better alone. Nevertheless, she remains one of their closest allies to the rebels, and is still often found at the club. She tends to call when something is happening with Etrius that they should know about.
Syl, in the time she was with Etrius, has been fitted with all sorts of cybernetic upgrades. Multiple processors have been wired directly into her brain, and several input and output ports have been implanted into her body to allow quicker interfacing with computers. Thus she's able to manipulate even multiple computers at an inhumanly fast rate. She has various computer parts including a laptop and several wireless PDAs in her backpack, and a wireless signal amplifier. Various small UCT (universal connection terminal) devices are hidden in her jacket. Though entirely unnecessary, as she can link directly to computers, she wears an old-fashioned set of computer interface goggles and headset. Etrius also augmented her muscles with mechanical components to up her interfacing speed, but has given her the side-effect of being inhumanly strong.
Syl is cool and quiet; the processors in her brain have forced her into a state of almost perpetual calm and collectedness. She does however have a dry sense of humour which is further increased by her deadpan composure, and can be very sarcastic. She isn't totally emotionless, however, and secretly wishes she could feel again like a normal girl.
