Bones "Dead or Alive" McGale, real name Doa "Bones" McGale. Her real name is Doa, and was given the nickname "Bones" by a friend who gave her the dogtag she wears; she's given the nickname "Dead or Alive" by those who assume "DOA" on the tag she always carries is an acronym, as well as her frequent appearance on wanted posters all over the Southwestern towns.
She lives in the Heap, a giant off-limits scrap yard, hidden in the Southwest Rim near the border of the South Wasteland where periodically Etrius dumps their mechanical scrap (compostable garbage is used as landfill to increase the area of Etrius Island). There she builds things out of the junk that comes out of Etrius, and makes her home there. She sells stuff to citizens and outlaws alike from the Southwest, as well as the nomads from the Wasteland. She's hoping by running a store she can find her childhood love, whom she was separated from at a young age when they lived together at St. Jeanna Orphanage on the West Rim; or at least build something to find him.
She uses a revolver, a common piece of low-tech mechanical weaponry in the Southwest, but her gun is custom built and supports a lot of Etrian technology, like sniper scopes, laser guidance, explosive rounds, energy weaponry, and etcetera; technology very rarely found outside of Etrius itself. Her skill with the revolver is almost unrivalled in all of the Southwest, even without all her upgrades. Because of her dangerous weaponry and living in an off-limits illegal area, she's an outlaw in most towns in the Southwest.
She's lively and confident, and very outgoing; brilliant and a quick (and sometimes sarcastic) talker, she makes both a great inventor and a friendly and helpful salesperson. She does have a softer, more vulnerable side, and despite her strong capable outlaw exterior, there's nothing she wants more than to find her long lost friend again.
